The PIX Classical / Wedge / Narrow Section Belts are primarily used in industrial drives and are particularly advantageous when reverse idlers have to be used, owing to their smaller thickness. These belts feature a wear-resistant, bias-cut neoprene rubberised polyester cotton fabric, and a high tensile cord embedding cushion rubber compound. Additionally, they utilise high tenacity, low stretch, specially treated polyester cords, and an especially compounded high modulus compression rubber.
The belts boast a top width to height ratio of 1.6:1, and a maximum recommended belt speed of 30 m/s. They also have a permissible flex rate of 80 per second. The outer jacketing fabric is specially CR treated for higher durability, and the belts are anti-static, oil, and heat resistant.
The maximum belt linear speeds vary depending on the section type: Classical section up to 30 m/sec, Wedge section up to 42 m/sec, and Narrow section up to 45 m/sec. The operating temperature range is -30°C to +80°C.
